So today the wireless was hooked up at the flat. I will have no excuses impeding more frequent blogging and consistent communication. I am so excited! My first two IM conversations were with Charlette, telling me she was at work, and Andy, who is a brit living in Houston with a Kiwi. Andy was taking the piss out of me for not having eaten traditional British meals. Okay so the names are not all that appealing...anybody interested in a Spotted Dick, or maybe some Mushy Peas, how about a little Yorkshire Pudding with a bit of Brown Sauce. Double ugh! I have tried some of these and trust me they are not all that tasty. Leanne was a lifesaver when she brought Louisiana hot sauce, A1 sauce, and Raisin Bran Crunch, back from the States.
Interesting tidbit, I saw two wierd sights on the side of the rode today. I saw a lorry (truck) that was turned flat on its side in a ditch and later on a dead deer. Moving on...
So the big THREE OH is coming up in the next couple of months and I am proud to say that my holiday destination will be Amsterdam. I intend to be a deviant in so many different ways. Lord forgive me for the sins I intend to commit on a daily basis over the course of 4 days. Let your goodness and mercy enlighten me once I come back from the sordid darkness that has a reddish hue. Hehehehehe....
The tickets have been purchased, but we are still attempting to work on the accomodations. Before I touch on accomodations, let me tell you how much I paid for a roundtrip ticket into a nearby city and an short train ride to Amsterdam---53 pounds= $103. Our accomodation should be roughly 60 pounds=$116 for 4 nights. I love how easy and cheap it is to travel from England. Hell, I couldn't get around the States for a hundred dollars.
I sense a bit of jealousy out in the blogosphere...keep it to yourself....or come visit me.
Romantically,
Big D is supposed to be stopping by tonight.
