Hello all, So yesterday was the first true snowfall England has had all winter. There was a light snowfall several weeks back, however nothing compared to the several inches that fell overnight. I kept waking up throughout the night in hopes of watching the flurries fall. It was a wintry wonderland the next morning that caused the English traffic to come to a standstill. I struggled in traffic for an hour and a half trying to get into work, which normally takes only 40 minutes. Half of the office staff were unable to make it in for various snow related reasons. The members of staff that did remain, could not help feeling drawn to the brightness of the world outside our office windows. We sat at our desks feeling gloomy as we trudged through the massive paperwork. Around 11am a one email message entered our inbox 'snowball fight in rear carpark at noon?' An energy surged through the offices as the thought that we would be able to leave our heavy caseloads behind and run amok like the schoolchildren. So at noon, I headed to my car and gathered up my gloves and scarf and prepared to go to war. This was not going to be an ordinary snowball fight this was about bragging rights. East, West and Central (the office is split up into regions) Teams were out to take each other out. I suffered many blows to my self esteem, especially while making a snowangel (my first) I was viciously attacked. Also, I was hit in the arse severely times by one of my male coworkers with a snowball. Hmmm....I wonder what he was trying to imply by aiming at my rotund bottom.
